About Grave

It's July, and there's a heatwave in the village of Grave. Olivia has just moved into No. 4 Parry's Row with her rescue dog, Fog. To get to know Grave, she starts researching the names in the churchyard, the village's forgotten dead.

Grave by Bee Lilyjones is an independent publication launched in July 2026. In a month or two from now you'll find the first chapter of this gently comic graphic novel I'm writing and illustrating over the coming months, and publishing here a chapter at a time.

Alongside the chapters, I'll write about the making of Grave, where the story comes from, what inspires my illustrations, and what I'm learning along the way.
